The Social Administration of the City of Stockholm has a comprehensive and coordinating role for social services related to individual and family care and the area of disabilities. Here, good conditions are created to meet residents in need of social services support. In close collaboration with the district administrations, we contribute to a modern, digital, legally secure, equal, and knowledge-based social service, and we have a strong focus on development. Within the administration, a wide range of support measures are offered to the city's residents, and the offerings change based on the needs of Stockholmers and the wishes of the district administrations. The work often takes place in close cooperation with other authorities, civil society, and the business community. The Social Administration is also responsible for the city's serving and tobacco permits and conducts supervision.

The Unit against Prostitution and Human Trafficking within the City of Stockholm works to reduce prostitution, decrease the demand for sexual acts, and to put an end to human trafficking.

The unit is part of the social administration and gathers the city's functions that work with these issues. We also conduct knowledge-enhancing initiatives and offer lectures, study visits, and consultations to professionals who meet the target group.

The Social Administration has a city-wide responsibility for social services in the city. The social services department includes activities that directly address the city's citizens and offer round-the-clock care as well as authority-exercising, outreach, and advisory services.

We are now looking for a substitute as one of our regional coordinators will go on parental leave.

The substitute position is valid until 31/8-27.

Your role

The regional coordinators work against prostitution and human trafficking for all purposes (both adults and children) and are placed at the Social Administration, the Unit against Prostitution and Human Trafficking. The tasks of the regional coordinators include, among other things:

  • Providing support in individual cases
  • Contributing to regional and national collaboration
  • Providing methodological support and training for professionals
  • Handling cases for individuals with temporary residence in the City of Stockholm
  • Being a contact person for the Return Program
  • Participating in joint authority work against exploitation and human trafficking in the labor market at the regional level
  • Operational work during, for example, workplace inspections

The work involves many partners, such as the police authority and non-profit organizations.

Your qualifications and experience

A degree in social work and experience in authority exercise regarding protective placements as well as very good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form are required.

It is advantageous if you have knowledge of prostitution and human trafficking. It is also advantageous if you have experience working with consultative support to other authorities and organizations. Additionally, it is beneficial if you have experience in lecturing and training others.

The role of regional coordinator requires good interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate, as well as being solution-focused in meetings with both those in need of help and other professionals. You need to be comfortable speaking in front of others and know how to adapt your message for the target audience you are addressing. Since the role involves both operational and strategic work, the ability to handle pressured situations with stability, security, and prioritization is required.

A B driver's license is a requirement.

Upon employment, you may be security classified to perform the work.

A police record extract will be requested.
